Artist Statement

Julie B. Abels is an artist, author, and art curriculum creator. She and her family live in Tucson, AZ on the 3.3 acres she calls the Ridge Light Ranch. In her life before children, Julie earned a BS and MBA and worked in the corporate world.

Now she puts all her skills into homeschooling her boys, creating art, teaching art classes, and offering great art content to her readers and listeners.

She is active with church activities, exercise, camping, and learning more art skills alongside her students.

You’ll often find her working on commissions, but also loves to create art inspired by nature, whether it be landscapes, plants, or animals.

Julie is also a natural teacher who makes art and art skills accessible to others since 2016.
